Creating Capabilities to Leverage External Data to Match Supply and Demand: a multiple case study

The purpose of this study was to create a framework on leveraging external data influences the supply and demand match and what the role of capabilities are in this matter. The results showed that using external data to one's advantage can enhance supply and demand matching and boost organizational effectiveness. Employee skills, organizational capabilities, and data management capabilities are expected to be beneficial when leveraging external data in the context of matching supply and demand. Turnover and the performance of branded searches may be favourably impacted by a selection that skillfully responds to consumer demand via the strategic gathering and analysis of external data. The literature on organizational performance, competences, and supply-demand alignment is enhanced by this study. It sets itself apart by giving special attention to external data and offering all the tools required to use it.
