Kickstarting the Next Step in Urban Mobility. Design of an Interactive Design Tool & a New Urban Electric Vehicle

Abstract:
This research focuses on developing a conceptual design for a new urban electric vehicle for the brand Brekr. Via futurology-focused literature and market trends, a future brand vision and design vision was set up and visualised. Built on these foundations, an interactive simulative design tool was iteratively developed, suitable for essentially all future electric vehicles at Brekr. In parallel, the tool was verified and applied in the design of the new vehicle. The findings here ultimately grounded in an embodied conceptual design of the new vehicle, including a detailed drivetrain concept and visualisations of its design.
