Abstract: | RF probes produce a large amount of data due to the high sampling rate required to accurately read the data produced by the probe and small IoT devices may not have enough bandwidth available to transmit all that data. Compression algorithms can be used to reduce the size of the data before it is sent to the server. This paper explores using AZTEC and Sprintz to compress the RF probe data and analyses their effectiveness on real data by using metrics line the compression ratio, speed, and lossiness. |
