Abstract:Focusing on collaborative augmented reality (AR) systems, where latency reduction is crucial for user experience and system performance, this study uniquely contributes by simulating real-world network traffic conditions using existing datasets. This research investigates the impact of network configuration parameters on end-to-end (E2E) latency in collaborative AR systems through detailed network simulation using the 5G RAN Emulator FikoRE. Our findings indicate that bandwidth, packet size, and the number of background users significantly affect E2E latency, with bandwidth emerging as the most critical factor. Future research directions include exploring the interplay of additional network variables and extending this work to more complex multi-user environments.
