Abstract:New developments like object orientation and pressure to use commercial o the shelf (COTS) software and hardware components force Signaal to review its current middleware solutions. SPLICE is such a middleware solution. The SPLICE system is currently 8 years old. A new project is running to replace the old implementation with a more ecient one and provide new functionality that is needed to be able to develop SPLICE-software more eciently and adapt SPLICE to more open standards and new technique
