Abstract: | Concrete is a basic construction material that is applied in construction all over the world. Every region has its specific requirements concerning the composition and characteristics of concrete. Arid environments, such as in Qatar, are challenging for the production of high quality ready-mixed concrete due to high temperatures and humidity fluctuations. During the last decade, Qatar went through a period of high economic prosperity and along with that came the need for large amounts of high quality ready-mixed concrete. This research provides insights in a company that started a production facility in a country outside its domestic region (Qatar). |
