Abstract: | In the aerospace industry, thermoplastic composites are coming up more and more because of their economic and technical advantages. This research considers a future production line of Gulfstream G650 thermoplastic horizontal tail wings for Fokker Aerostructures. The Approximate Marginal Distribution Analysis and the Excel SOLVER are applied in an Excel tool. The yearly throughput and Total Costs of Ownership are determined for the current and future state of the production line. Several process improvements are suggested, modelled and visualized in a 3D model. |
