Abstract: | The heating of rooms on the UT is not done efficiently. The temperature is controlled by a central thermostat, if you want to change the temperature in an individual room you have to control the radiator manually. All the rooms are heated constantly because the thermostat is centralized, also when another temperature is needed or when nobody is present. The goal of this project is to make the heating of a room smarter. The research focuses primarily on the design of an algorithm that can predict how much time it will costs to heat the room . The results of this algorithm can be used to make the heating of the room smarter and more efficient. Examples for implementation are, changing properties of the room to make the heating more efficient, predict when to start and stop heating, change heating schedule to the weather forecast and more. This report shows the research done to make this self learning system work. |
