| Abstract: | This research is about product design for both sexes. The goal of this study incorporates the design of a gender neutral product, in order to appeal to both genders. To describe this we use the term genderless. Because there are few to no public study’s which incorporate genderless design, we are going to analyze the vision of both genders on a certain product. In this case we use a hifi-system as a vehicle for this research. Subsequently a process takes place which will uncover the gender specific product features according to a genderless product. The result of this research will be applied to the design of a genderless hifi-system. Later on there will be a real life study between some experimental subjects, in order to expose to what degree some people are willing to choose for genderless design. |
