Abstract: | This thesis is about inventory management, specifically in a highly volatile market. Within this thesis a comparison is done on five different forecasting methods. After presenting a new safety stock model, the proposed new forecasting method and safety stock model are used in a simulation. By performing these steps, the main research question is answered and the core problem is tackled. The main research question of this thesis is: "How can TenCate make a proper forecast and have an adequate inventory management in a highly volatile market?" |
