Abstract:A General Game Playing system is capable of playing a wide variety of games with the use of AIs. Part of these games is perfect information games. To play these games in such an environment, a Game Description Language is needed. This is the language that is used to model the games in a digital environment. There are lots of options to base the Language on, one possibility is graph transformations. Groove uses these graph transformations which can be used to model board games. This paper will analyze the suitability of the Game Description Language of Groove for General Game Playing purposes.
