Abstract:This report presents an exploratory research on options for reducing peak demand at fast charging locations, in particular by means of Smart Charging, the installation of batteries or the combination of both. The current working context of Company X is analyzed, after which a model has been built that incorporates the proposed solutions. A tool has been built that provides easy access to simulating the built model. A total of 18 scenarios have been simulated, which provide promising results, with possible savings spanning between €5,000 and €70,000 per fast-charging location over a 10-year time-period.
