Abstract: | Large scale machine learning is on the rise due to the various advancements in technology. Multiple industries are pushing to become smarter as fast as possible. This paper summarizes the use of large scale machine learning in industries as well as the factors affecting energy consumption of machine learning models. Furthermore, simulations are performed to estimate the amount of energy consumption of training a model. This is extended to include different types of algorithms used in specific large-scale machine learning applications. |
