Abstract:In this bachelor assignment the movement of a milli robot influenced by a static magnetic field. The assignment focuses on the possibility of facilitating the movement with the use of tri axial coils these coils when activated will create a magnetic moment. When the robot is influenced by a static magnetic field the moment of the coils will create a torque that causes rotational movement and the current can be controlled by changing the activation times of the coils. In this assignment a simulation is made and a experiment has been made in order to determine i fit is possibly to create the rotational movement with the use of the tri axial coils. The simulation showed that it is possible to rotate the device with the aforementioned method. However the control of the movement proved to be very difficult to do if the scale of the robot needs to stay small. The experiment to test if a system as seen in the simulation can be made failed so no conclusions could be drawn from that.
