Abstract:We identify a unique system theoretic additive decomposition of any materially composite quantum system in terms of independent subsystems with probability ports and their interconnection through a Dirac structure. Conversely, we provide a terminating algorithm to determine the admissibility of additive compositions if the resulting quantum system is required to consist of elementary particles.
