Abstract: | As the need for integrations within the software of businesses is continuously on the rise, iPaaS (integration-Platform-as-a-Service) platforms where integrations can easily be created amongst different pieces of software are become increasingly more popular. The platforms often run in Public Cloud environements and are based around the deployments of Virtual Machines. In this research, possibilities for deploying iPaaS platforms on FaaS or Function-as-a-Service systems is explorer for suitability. This was done by constructing a state-of-the-art overview of FaaS technologies, both commercial and Open-Source and test these against a constructed requirement list to find the best suiting technolgie for use within an iPaaS platform. |
