Abstract: | A supplier selection tool is developed for first time supplier visits of the Projects department at VDL ETG Almelo. This tool has been applied during supplier visits in Spain, after which potential new suppliers of mechanical products in the mechanisation market segment for VDL ETG Almelo in the Iberian Peninsula are selected. Also, a cleanroom and a laboratory have been visited, which together with the visited suppliers, form a potential new supply chain of mechanical products in the Iberian Peninsula. This new supply chain enhances VDL ETG Almelo's global supply chain resilience, because production can be shifted more easily when and where required, also due to its location being closer to VDL ETG Almelo. |
