Abstract: | The production hours per week reached on the 5-axis milling machines at HTM Aerotec are lower than desired. A lack of a sophisticated planning approach and insights into the system contribute to this. A scheduling model has been made, adhering to all practical constraints. Optimisation methods have been assessed and insights into the system performance are obtained. While a solid foundation has been established, further research is needed to be able to use the planning model on an operational basis. |
